24th International Congress of Chemotherapy

24th ICC in Manila, Philippines, 4-6 June 2005

As you are well aware, the 24th ICC will be held in Manila, the Philippines.  The theme of the congress is " Confronting Health Challenges, Strengthening Strategies". The programme is very much up to date now. Please visit: http://www.psmid.org/newprogram.html.  There are 5 major topic tracks: Clinical Infections: Challenges and Strategies, New antimicrobials and rational drug use, Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases and Infections in healthcare settings. As usual we would have the Hamao Umezawa memorial Award lecture, given to someone who has contributed to scientific excellence, plenary and state of art lectures given by world experts and leaders in their respective fields.

We request the participation of you and the members of your Society in making another ICC a success. We have extended the deadline of abstracts to the 12th of March, 2005. This is a good opportunity for you and your colleagues to team up with researchers in an Asian setting especially.
